Located 20 Miles outside the Washington beltway, Glenkirk was the National Capital Presbytery’s camp and retreat center. Composed of over 230 acres situated along Lake Manassas, Glenkirk provided a haven of solitude and serenity for visitors. Facilities were available for rental by groups during three seasons while a Christian, rustic, small-group based camp was provided at the facility each summer. Glenkirk was established in the late 1950’s by the Presbytery of the Potomac and has been serving the churches of the metropolitan D.C. area ever since. Glenkirk can accommodate 85 guests in rustic winterized housing. Rustic camping villages are also available. Currently, the facility is booked from June through August each year for the summer camping program. In April of 2005, the Camp and Retreat Ministries of National Capital Presbytery moved to their new home at Meadowkirk, in Middleburg, VA. |
